Latvian Drones Support Ukraine

Ukraine´s army will receive 500 Latvian combat drones, including IRSIS UAV, as part of the international Drone Coalition till September this year. The drones will support the Ukrainian army in different combat operations.

Latvian drone's manufacturers ‘Atlas Aerospace’ and ‘Aeron’ from Riga will send over 2500 different combat drones worth 4 million euros to Ukraine, the defense ministry said. Additionally, 20 million euros will be invested in the drone coalition, along with another similar sum in Latvia´s drones' development.  

As a leader of the  Drone Coalition, Latvia aims with other partner nations to boost Ukraine´s arsenal with drones. The alliance includes seven other countries: Denmark, the Netherlands, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden and Germany. Ukraine is also putting more efforts to produce over 1 million drones in 2024.
