Parrot ANAFI UKR - The Tactical Micro‑Drone Redefining Defense and Public Safety

Parrot’s ANAFI UKR is a next-generation micro drone engineered for both frontline military operations and public sector missions such as law enforcement, search and rescue, and infrastructure monitoring. Drawing from battlefield experience, the ANAFI UKR combines rugged hardware, autonomous flight, and advanced imaging systems in a lightweight and portable package.

Weighing just 959 grams and folding to a compact 245 × 160 × 116 mm, the drone is deployable in under two minutes. Despite its small size, it is built to operate under extreme conditions, withstanding temperatures from –36 °C to +50 °C, wind speeds of up to 15 m/s, and flight altitudes up to 5,000 meters.

Designed for contested environments, the ANAFI UKR can operate without relying on GPS. It uses advanced navigation methods such as visual-inertial odometry, satellite image matching, and onboard AI-based obstacle avoidance. These capabilities make it highly effective in electronic warfare scenarios and GNSS-denied zones.

The drone features a highly secure communication system. This includes encrypted Wi‑Fi, 5G connectivity, MARS military radios with frequency hopping, and LoRa backup channels. These communication layers ensure persistent command and control even under heavy jamming or network degradation.

One of ANAFI UKR’s standout features is its imaging system. It includes a high-resolution EO camera with 35× zoom and a FLIR Boson thermal infrared sensor with 640 × 512 pixel resolution. From an altitude of around 120 meters, the drone can detect human targets at distances up to 2.2 kilometers (EO) and 173 meters (IR), delivering accurate situational awareness both day and night.

Flight endurance is impressive for a drone of this size. The standard battery provides a 38-minute flight time with a range of approximately 23 kilometers. An optional extended-range (XLR) battery increases endurance to 50 minutes and boosts operational range to about 40 kilometers. The drone is hand-launchable and can operate indoors and outdoors, free from restricted geofencing zones.

Cybersecurity and data sovereignty are central to the ANAFI UKR’s design. The drone features AES-256 encryption for data in transit and at rest, signed firmware, and compliance with FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria EAL5+ standards. This ensures mission-critical data is secure and fully controlled by the operator.

The ANAFI UKR GOV variant is tailored for public sector use, with applications in crowd monitoring, emergency response, border surveillance, and critical infrastructure inspection. This version brings military-grade intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to civilian agencies needing dependable, real-time aerial data in high-stakes scenarios.

Compact, resilient, and versatile, the ANAFI UKR is redefining what tactical micro-UAVs can deliver. Its combination of high-end sensors, robust autonomy, encrypted communications, and rapid deployment make it an ideal tool for modern defense forces and public safety organizations alike.

With its growing reputation and proven capabilities in complex environments, the Parrot ANAFI UKR sets a new standard for portable, sovereign drone systems.
