One Million Drones Ordered by Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, addressed in the beginning of August that the Ukrainian leadership has ordered one million drones more. He adds: ´We are not announcing all the details currently, but our production capacity for drones is increasing´.

The Ukrainian army was targeting vital Russian territory for months such as refineries, military airfields, and fuel and ammunition depots. The president quotes: ´We are working not only with government funds, but also with partners to invest in our production of drones´, as Ukraine was one of the first countries to launch its own type of drone weapon.

The initiative to use unmanned aerial robots instead of heavy weapons comes from Western partners, as they believe that drones are significantly cheaper and can inflict a huge damage to the enemy without risking one´s own army force.

´We are investing in something that helps us defend ourselves now - and that in the future will help ensure the safety of all those who value life and who now stand side by side with us´ adds Zelenskyy.
